I wanted to pick your guys' brains since I wasn't part of the scene before 9.00. I know that 5.05 and 9.00 have been considered the sweet spots, but how does present day 6.72 compare to 5.05? I've heard numerous times that this past year 6.72 has been made to be that much more stable. The 6.72 is way more my style, so I'm leaning towards keeping that one. There's nothing special about the 5.05 machine I got (to me). I don't need to keep all 3 machines and could sell any of them for decent money. The first is on 5.05 while the second is a Taco Bell on 6.72. I started keeping my eyes peeled and managed to score two different machines at really great prices. But before I did, I had considered going 5.05 so that reapplying the JB would be less effort. I was recently in a situation where my personal PS4 would freeze on wake 100% of the time.

I've dumped a lot of games, including whatever the latest patch I could that would work on 9.00 Since I never knew JB without using a USB, using a USB didn't seem all that problematic to me. I treated myself to a "fancy" one because I work on them now. I only got into JB PS4 scene a few months ago. It will download through the app unlike DNS system which blocks the whole process.

If you are thinking about updating retail game pkgs then be sure to install Patch Installer and install retail pkg updates from the app itself. You can stay connected to internet without turning off (unless Sony turns off the dev server).

Ps4 free store jailbreak update#
This is a one time process and no need to worry about pathetic auto update notification of fpkgs and auto firmware update in the background even after reboot. Result: Time automatically syncs with Sony's dev server ( I think ) with your current location and time set before. (You can select Automatically as well above Set Now option) Go to Date and Time settings and Click Set Now instead of Setting manually. Now go to Debug Settings>System >Debug Network Clock> On (Set time Manually). After restart Follow Step 1, 2 and 3 again. Go to Debug Settings>Playstation Network>NP Environment>Set to "Sp-Int " instead of 'np'. You can try GoldHen 2.2.2 if you don't have stability issues.

Use GoldHen (any version after v2)- I used GoldHen v2b. Start Webkit Exploit from browser (any host will do) I followed these steps in chronological order and it worked flawlessly: I finally managed to figure out the fix for RTC of PS4.
